Orlando: Serving in the most visited city in the US

Servant Life is excited to send short-term teams into Orlando for a week of ministry to help meet the needs of the community― to show the love of Christ with our actions, and to share the hope of the gospel with those who need to hear it!

Orlando, FL, is the most visited city in the US with 75 million people visiting each year. It has consistently been a popular tourist city where visitors could enjoy its beauty, fishing, everglades, and lakes. Later, it became the theme park capital of the world! Visitors can choose from the city’s many theme parks including Walt Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld, the Kennedy Space Center, and LEGOLand. 

Dispersed throughout Orlando’s tourist attractions are local non-profit organizations and churches that serve the needs of underserved populations. Our partner exists to be a helping hand to fellow organizations and churches, helping connect willing mission teams to known needs in the community. 

Our partner established this organization because they wanted to leverage its resources for increased ministry. They saw the need for volunteers while seeing that churches, schools, and other groups desire to serve in meaningful ways. Their desire is to mobilize groups to serve with local churches and organizations.

When in Orlando, your team can serve in a variety of ways which allows you to shape your ministry to your group’s gifts and abilities. There are opportunities to be involved in local church ministries, kid’s ministry, food pantries, soup kitchens, nursing homes, and homeless shelters. There are also light labor project opportunities like landscaping and clean up. Ministry is ongoing in Orlando, and you can be a part of it by using your gifts.
