Annually, the business of human trafficking globally generates an estimated $150 billion in profits. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world, with a GDP per capita of $1155.14. As such, the most common push factors for human trafficking are poverty and unemployment. Today, the Nepal-India border is considered to be one of the busiest human trafficking gateways in the world, with approximately 30,000 women and girls trafficked each year.

Servant Life partners with a local organization engaging in meaningful work to prevent child trafficking, visiting rural villages, and providing education and resources to at-risk families and communities. Alongside our local partner, you will build relationships and empower children with the knowledge and resources to protect themselves and their communities.

What will my team be doing?

Part thrilling adventure, part meaningful work to prevent human trafficking, this journey will take you on a cross-cultural experience, spending time with families as you build relationships and share the Gospel through one-on-one conversations while you spend time in a mountain village. Ministry can include visiting schools, leading sports camps, serving pastors, and assisting with micro-businesses.
