Join us this summer in Romania for an incredible opportunity to share Christ through the game of soccer. Alongside our partners in Romania, our team will help reach and disciple the next generation by using sports as a bridge to the gospel.

Their mission—Intentional Disciple-making through Church-Based Sports—creates an environment where teenagers experience genuine connection, community, and the love of Christ in a fun and impactful way.

As part of the team, you’ll lead drills and games, cheer players on both on and off the field, and build meaningful relationships with teens from across Romania. More than just playing soccer, you’ll have opportunities to share your story, encourage others in their faith, and join in what God is doing to transform lives.

This trip is more than a camp—it’s a chance to serve, share, and make an eternal impact through the hope of Jesus.

What will my team be doing?

Your team will play a vital role in serving alongside our Romanian partners during our football camps in PiteÈ™ti and Bucharest. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Lead Football Activities – Help run drills, organize games, and coach players on the field.

  • Build Relationships – Spend time with teenagers, encourage them, and connect through conversations and shared experiences.

  • Share the Gospel – Use soccer as a bridge to talk about faith, share personal testimonies, and point young people to Christ.

  • Serve with Joy – Support the camp team (local leaders), create a welcoming environment, and model Christ’s love in both words and actions.

This isn’t just about soccer—it’s about making an eternal difference. Through sports, you’ll have the chance to meet Romanian teens where they are, encourage them, and share the hope of the gospel.

Your team can include men who coach or play soccer, athletes who can lead physical training sessions, men who love God (even if sports is not their main focus) who can connect with the teenage boys.

What does a general weekly schedule look like?

  • Saturday. Travel day. Arrive and get settled into hotel. Take a short vision tour of the city center of Bucharest with ministry staff.

  • Sunday. Worship with a local church. Orientation for the week of ministry ahead and a tourism day to explore the city, including museums, government buildings, etc.

  • Monday - Friday. Main ministry days at camp and other opportunities.

  • Saturday - Sunday. Travel day, debriefing, shopping for gifts (if there is a request) plus visit Bran Castle (known as Dracula's Castle, in Transylvania).

What does my cost include?

  • Housing. Your team will stay in a hotel or a hostel that is safe and verified by our Romania team! And then, at camp, you will share large rooms with the teenagers, as an opportunity to connect, deepen relationships and share the Gospel with them.

  • Meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day! (Note: You need to pay for your meals at the airport while traveling, etc.)

  • T-Shirt. Every participant gets an awesome mission trip t-shirt + a soccer camp t-shirt!

  • Supplemental Traveler's Insurance. In the event of a medical emergency, you'll be covered with an international policy!

  • Pre-Trip Training Material. We provide training sessions, trip overview documents, assistance from our team of mission trip experts, and communication with in-country missionaries to make sure your group is fully prepared for your trip.

  • Pre-, During, and Post-trip Devotionals. This 4-week printed missions journal will help every team member grow and encounter Christ.

  • In-country transportation. From the moment you land at the airport until the moment you leave, we will take you everywhere during the week. You will not need to arrange your transportation, but teams should be prepared to do some walking as we navigate different villages and communities.

Airfare is not included in the trip cost but will be taken care of by Servant Life's travel agent, who gets humanitarian rates and often free baggage. You may book on your own if you prefer to do so, but we ask to approve the itinerary first.
