Albany, New York (NY Capital City)

Albany is the capital city of the state of New York. As it was originally a city of immigrants, the current population of Albany remains very diverse and multi-cultural.

Albany's geographical location (roughly equidistance between New York City to the south and Montreal to the north, as well as Buffalo to the west and Boston to the east), makes it a convenient and typical stop for touring artists and acts. This, along with the many festivals, museums, historic sites, and literature and film history that takes place within the city, makes Albany a likely tourist location for many.
